Kaapzicht
A fourth-generation, family-owned and managed wine business, established in 1946.
Kaapzicht is a family-owned winery rooted in the Bottelary Hills of Stellenbosch, where generations of dedication have shaped both the vineyards and the character of their wines. The name “Kaapzicht” meaning “Cape View”, reflects the estate’s elevated position, offering sweeping vistas toward Table Bay. With a deep respect for terroir - marked by decomposed granite soils, cooling ocean breezes and varied slopes - the focus lies on producing expressive Chenin Blanc and Pinotage that reflect the unique soils and slopes of the farm.
Kaapzicht’s portfolio is structured into ranges that move from everyday wines made for sharing (The Family Range) to ‘wines that create a lasting impression of something truly extraordinary – the pinnacle of their legacy’, otherwise known as The Steytler Range.
Today, Kaapzicht stands as a testament to heritage, resilience and thoughtful winemaking – an estate where tradition and progress coexist and where every bottle tells a story of place and family.
