Innesto is the brainchild of Sofia Ricasoli, the latest generation of the Ricasoli family, whose winery in Tuscany dates back to 1141, making it one of the oldest in the world and the oldest in Italy. Sofia has brought a new perspective to a legacy she knows intimately. While shaped by a deep-rooted understanding of Chianti Classico, Innesto is conceived as an independent space – a project driven by curiosity, intention and the desire to carve out a language of its own.

Meaning ‘graft’ in Italian, Innesto reflects this dual nature: grounded yet forward-looking. The project launches with two wines that express complementary dimensions. A 2021 Chianti Classico Riserva captures the essence and precision of its place of origin, while a multi-vintage Toscana IGT highlights Sofia’s modern, innovative approach, revealing a more layered and evolving dimension shaped by time.
