First created by third generation president, Don Miguel Torres, in the 1950s and 1960s these wines remain popular today and continue to be exported all over the world. Part of their popularity may be explained by the fact that they were some of the first wines in Spain to be made with modern wine making techniques such as temperature controlled stainless steel vats.  This produced consistently high quality at a time when not all producers were using this technology.
