Looking to the future
The winery favours cultivation and production methods that aim to protect and ensure the sustainability of the environment. From natural resources, to those that are sourced, the environmental impact of consumption and production methods are always considered.
Chemical fertilisers, pesticides or fungicides are not used in the Musar vineyards.
The biodiversity of the terroir is respected during agricultural work, protecting trees in and around our vineyards and striving to protect wildlife including birdlife, bees and even moles. All pruning and harvesting are done by hand to avoid the use of heavy machinery, which can negatively impact both the environment and the soils.

When considering the use of natural resources and as water is a precious commodity, artificial irrigation is not practiced, except during the first 3 years for newly planted vines. High pressure water cleaning systems are used to reduce water consumption at the winery.
Packaging materials such as cardboard boxes are sourced from a local manufacturer with a sustainable forest certification, and natural corks are chosen over plastic or metal caps, as they are recyclable, renewable, reusable and biodegradable.
Waste reduction is also a focus of the winery, where raw materials and packaging materials are reused and repurposed wherever possible to minimize any negative environmental impact.
