Winning Wiston

Wiston Estate are delighted to announce that their Library Collection Blanc de Blancs 2010 has been awarded The English Sparkling Trophy by the IWC.

In doing so, it joins an exclusive group of just 8 other English Sparkling wines that have also been trophy winners. It further strengthens the reputation of the 2010 vintage which was also awarded 97 points by Decanter in 2023.

The Library Collection Blanc de Blancs 2010 is the first in a series of limited-edition releases that show the ageing potential and quality that English Sparkling can achieve. Aged for 7 and half years on its lees and over 3 years on cork, it benefitted from the weather conditions in 2010 which produced an exceptional growing season.

Praising the Library Collection Blanc de Blancs 2010, the IWC judges described the wine as having ‘Balanced, concentrated fruit, baked apple, fresh chalky acidity typical of English chardonnay. Powerfully incisive, with keen acidity as well as intense flavours of citrus, spiced apple and cherry. Such power and complexity here finishing with pastry.’
