Miguel Torres, Santa Digna Carmenere, 75cl, 2019
Santa Digna was the name of the wayside crosses at a property in Spain. These crosses were used to mark boundaries, symbolizing good luck and protection for those setting out for remote lands. They were also used to name Miguel Torres first property in Chile and the first wine produced from this land. Santa Digna Carmenere is elegant on the palate, with soft tannins delivering nuances of leather and spices. The ageing in French oak provides a pleasant toasted background.
