Graham’s reveals the value of patience
World leading luxury Port producer, Graham’s, are delighted to announce the release of their new Graham’s 80-Year-Old Aged Tawny Port – an extraordinary wine that pays tribute to the profound value of patience.
Originally blended by Graham’s Head Winemaker, Charles Symington, to mark the 80th birthday of his father and predecessor, Peter, the 80-Year-Old is primarily composed of wines dating back to the 1940’s. Such was its profound allure, depth of character and unparalleled elegance that the decision has been taken to release it on a strictly limited basis.

Like all Graham’s Aged Tawny Ports, the new 80-Year-Old is the result of more than 200 years of winemaking experience and pays homage to the craftsmanship and time-honoured skills, handed down across generations, that go in to producing every bottle.
“A really beautiful pale mahogany-tawny hue with a green-tinged amber rim; gloriously smooth and suave in texture, creamy marmalade richness offset by remarkable freshness with a streak of acidity mid-palate that persists on a long (almost endless) finish. Seamless overall and a wine exquisitely melded by age and skilful blending.“

Founded in 1820 by William and John Graham in Portugal’s Douro Valley, for two centuries Graham’s has cultivated its reputation as one of the greatest names in Port. The quality of Graham’s Port relies on the finest grapes, primarily sourced from five iconic quintas in the Douro Valley: Quinta dos Malvedos, Quinta do Tua, Quinta das Lages and two others, Quinta da Vila Velha and Quinta do Vale de Malhadas, which are privately owned by members of the Symington family.
