Fells strengthens French Portfolio

Fells is delighted to strengthen its portfolio of premium French wines from world-leading family-owned producers with the addition of esteemed Mâconnais and Beaujolais producer Joseph Burrier.

The Burrier family’s association with the vineyards of southern Burgundy, which extends over a period of 5 centuries and 17 generations, has established them as one of the region’s most distinguished producers.

Today, they own 60 hectares of vineyards in Mâconnais and Beaujolais, making them one of the leading owners of vineyards in the region.  Their vineyards are comprised of several estates including Domaine Joseph Burrierand the famous Château Beauregard, which was been run by the family for 7 generations since it was established in 1854.

As a producer, Joseph Burrier seeks to reveal the true expression of their terroirs with precision and purity, thanks to meticulous and sustainable work in the vineyards and a natural and low-interventionist approach, which includes some wines that are organic.

The excellence of Joseph Burrier’s wines is something that has been widely recognised by many of the world’s leading wine writers, including Neil Martin, Tim Atkin MW, and Jasper Morris MW.

The new wines from Joseph Burrier complement the regions where Fells already has a recognised strength with additions from Mâcon-Villages, Beaujolais-Villages, Pouilly-Fuissé, Fleurie and Moulin-à-Vent.
