Familia Torres continue to lead Climate change debate
‘The future of Spanish viticulture and wine in a time of climate crisis” was the theme of a recent debate featuring leading premium Spanish Wine producer Familia Torres.
President of Familia Torres, Miguel A Torres, who co-hosted the event with the Ambassador of Spain at the Spanish Embassy, used the event to highlight some of the industry-leading steps that his company is taking to address the crisis.
Also appearing in front of the audience of invited trade guests were wine writer, Jancis Robinson MW, Anne Jones, Development Director of the Regenerative Viticulture Foundation and José Pacheco Director of C&D Wine, a leading importer and distributor of Spanish food and wine.
Also present were Richard Siddle of the Buyer, who oversaw the debate which looked at the wider steps the wine sector is taking to tackle its carbon footprint and how Spain is uniquely positioned to spearhead sustainable winemaking.
