Founded in 1870, Familia Torres have a reputation for combining innovation, dynamism and a commitment to quality that has established them as one world’s leading premium wine producers. Today they remain a wholly independent and family-owned company which is run by 5th generation Miguel Torres Maczassek. As the driving force behind the company, he continues to build upon the achievements of his father, 4th generation Miguel A. Torres, who has been described as “one of Spain’s most innovative and influential winemakers”.

For many years the Torres have been at the forefront of innovation and viticultural development. Most notable amongst their achievements are their actions to mitigate the effects of climate change, the resurrection of “forgotten” ancestral varietals, the use of regenerative agriculture, and use of regional diversity – a key factor that differentiates the wines of Torres from those of other producers.
