Cristina Torres, daughter of Marimar Torres and member of the fifth generation of the family, joins Marimar Estate as Director of Sales & Marketing. Cristina will oversee the commercialization of the wines of the Californian winery in the American market, the direct sales and the Club Marimar in the USA.

Born in California in 1988, Cristina grew up among vineyards and learned about the wine business from her mother, who had started its project in the mid-eighties in Sonoma County.
After acquiring professional experience in several wine and fashion companies in different countries, Cristina joins the management of the winery, preparing for the baton that will be passed, for the first time, from mother to daughter.

For the past three years, Cristina has worked in the Brand Marketing team at Jackson Family Wines, in California, and has contributed to the creation of IWCA (International Wineries for
Climate Action), co-founded by Jackson and Familia Torres. Previously, she had acquired experience for two years in wine distribution at the British firm John E. Fells, importer and
distributor of wine based in London, and in the world of fashion, working in companies in San Francisco and Paris.

Cristina Torres has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Princeton University and an MBA from Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania). In wine education she has the WSET 3 certification of the Wine & Spirit Education Trust and she is in process of obtaining the WSET Diploma. Cristina is fluent in Catalan, Spanish, English and French.
