Award winning Warre’s
Warre’s were extremely proud that their 2020 Vinhas Velhas Vintage Port was awarded a perfect 100 point score from Decanter.
Described by Richard Mayson as “a ‘wow’ of a wine”, Warre’s 2020 Vintage Port was one of just 27 wines with a perfect 100-point score from Decanter in 2023 and the only wine from Portugal.
Marking Warre’s 350th anniversary in 2020, this was the first time Warre’s have produced a Vintage Port exclusively from the old vines at two of their estates – Quinta da Cavadinha and Quinta do Retiro.
Still ploughed by horses each year, it took three of these 80 to 100-year-old mixed vines to produce a single bottle of this astonishing Vintage Port.
