Symington Family Estates has donated one of their rare decanters of Graham’s Ne Oublie 1882 Tawny Port for the Golden Vines Fine Wine, Rare Spirit & Experience Global Auction.
SFE ancestor, AJ Symington, purchased four casks of this wine in the 1920s to celebrate the year he arrived in Portugal. Due to evaporation, only three casks made it to the 21st century, and in 2014 we decided to bottle and release one of them in 656 handmade decanters – of which just a few now remain.
The winning bid will receive this extraordinary wine and a private tour, tasting, dinner and overnight stay for 2 guests at one of our Douro estates, hosted by our family.
Organised by Liquid Icons, the auction will raise funds for the Gerard Basset Foundation which supports diversity & inclusion wine education programmes globally, including the headline Golden Vines Diversity Scholarships.
