Whilst Sancerre is predominantly famous for its Sauvignon Blanc there are some small Pinot Noir vineyards from which small quantities of red and rose are made. The assemblage for the Comte Lafond Rose demands very high standards of winemaking to produce a fresh and minerally wine with a good core of fruit.
