Quinta Madalena, 75cl, 2013
Deep coloured, almost opaque with just a hint of a crimson rim beginning to emerge. The heady aromas range from dark chocolate and mocha to damsons and rockrose, ending with notes of eucalyptus and blackberry. On the palate, the wine is rich and concentrated, with sumptuous black fruit flavours, punctuated by peppery tannins, which underline its muscular structure. The wine is delicious for enjoying now but it will develop favourably in bottle for at least another 15 years +.
