This distinctive appellation of the Northern Rhone produces wine only from the Viognier grape. Yields are notoriously low which in part accounts for the relative expense of the wine. Guigal’s Condrieu is matured entirely in new French oak and it is best to enjoy its fleshy round and full bodied character when young. Brilliant clear, golden-yellow in colour with notes of violets, peaches and apricots. Remarkably fresh.
