Jansz Cuvée Rosé NV
Crafted from the finest blocks of Pinot Noir in Jansz estate vineyard at Pipers River, this is a wine of pure indulgence for both their winemaker and the astute wine drinker. Pale gold in colour, with a persistent fine mousse, the nose displays aromas of honeysuckle, citrus zest and fresh strawberries from the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir fruit. The palate is well balanced with delicate fruit flavour, fine creamy texture and a refreshing natural acid drive. The finish is dry and fresh with lingering flavours of citrus and nougat.
Vergelegen MMV Brut 2019
Since 1700, Vergelegen (meaning “situated far away”) has been recognised as one of South Africa’s most historic wine estates. Amongst the many excellent wines that they produce, this 100% Chardonnay Blanc de Blanc, which is matured for 45 months on its lees, is a standout example. With a lovely fine mousse and flavours of brioche, citrus, spice and baked apples, it is long, lingering and refreshing on the palate.
Wiston Brut NV
The Goring family has cared for the Wiston Estate, with its meadows, woodlands and buildings, and stewarded what it has produced since 1743. Today Wiston’s cuvées, both Vintage and Non-Vintage, express an individuality of character and singular style with every release. A good example is this Brut NV which opens with a combination of green apple, freshly cut lemons and hints of cream and biscuits. On the palate the mousse is fine and textured with complex notes of apple compote, candied citrus peel and toasty notes.
Idée Fixe Premier Brut 2021
Idée Fixe is crafted from the premium, free-run cuvée of handpicked Chardonnay, and meticulous méthode traditionnelle winemaking. A light, elegant form is revealed in the fine, even bead and the brilliant pale-yellow hue. The delicate mousse is enhanced by the harmonious structural balance of phenolics and minerality, creating an enticing palate with a citrus-infused acidity, layers of captivating freshness and textural finesse.
