Fells’ France offering takes another leap

A landmark twelve months for the Fells French offering continues today, as Clarendelle becomes the latest major family-owned brand to put their trust in the company.

From March 2nd 2026, Fells will become the exclusive distributor for the Clarendelle family of wines, the series of premium Bordeaux made by the Clarence Dillon family, owners of world-famous Châteaux Haut-Brion, La Mission Haut-Brion and Quintus. Overseen and blended from parcels across the region, including those storied vineyards, Clarendelle brings First Growth expertise to a series of age worthy wines reflective of Bordeaux’s distinctive terroirs, elevating everyday life with fine wines.

‘It’s an exciting privilege to be able to offer Clarendelle to our customers,’ says Fells’ France Portfolio Manager, Florence Fagan. ‘It’s unusual for an importer to have that link to those top Bordeaux houses. We will have exclusivity in the UK market for the three Clarendelle and we are going to be first in the world to launch the 2019 red.’

‘The Clarendelle are intensely personal wines to me and my family,’ says Prince Robert of Luxembourg, fourth-generation representative of Domaine Clarence Dillon. ‘We enjoy them as much and as frequently today as we did with our very first vintage.’

Fells will initially be offering Clarendelle’s Bordeaux AOC Rouge, Blanc, and Rosé, and will be the first in the world to bring the outstanding Clarendelle 2019 Bordeaux Rouge to market. In addition to the Clarendelle range, Fells’ fine wine team will also handle a selection of library vintages from the iconic estates of Domaine Clarence Dillon, including Haut-Brion, La Mission Haut-Brion and Quintus.

‘This new partnership builds on an incredible year for our French Portfolio, following additions of Burgundy’s Joseph Burrier, Maison Louis Latour and Chablis experts Simonnet-Febvre,’ says Fells Managing Director Euan Mackay. ‘Alongside producers like Guigal, Hugel and Champagne Henriot our offering from France has never looked stronger.’
