English Sparkling Wine Week
Celebrate English Wine Week, which runs from Monday 17 June to Sunday 25 June with Wiston Brut NV and Wiston Rosé NV English Sparkling wines from Wiston Estate.
Wiston Brut NV
Wiston Brut NV opens with a combination of green apple, freshly cut lemons and hints of cream and biscuits. On the palate the mousse is fine and textured with complex notes of apple compote, candied citrus peel and toasty notes. The finish is refreshing and long.
Wiston Rosé NV
Wiston Rosé NV bursts with aromatic notes of rhubarb, raspberry and redcurrant, with a touch of wild roses and lemon zest. The palate is bright with refreshing acidity, with fine persistent bubbles and a touch of sherbet on the finish.
Wiston Estate is owned by the Goring family who have cared for the estate, with its meadows, woodlands, and buildings, and stewarded what it has produced, since 1743. It is now recognised as a leading producer of high-quality English Sparkling wine and was named ‘Winery of the Year’ in 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2022. In May 2024 their Library Collection Blanc de Blancs 2010 was awarded The English Sparkling Trophy by the IWC.
