Top 100 Trophy Success for Fells

Fells were delighted with their recent showing in the Wine Merchant’s Top 100 competition, the results of which were announced at this year’s London Wine Fair on Tuesday 19th May.

Of the seven wines from the Fells portfolio that featured in the Top 100 selection, this year’s standout wine was Royal Tokaji Sweet Szamorodni 2019 which took the Best-Value Fortified/Sweet Trophy.

Other wines from the Fells portfolio that featured in this year’s Top100 included From Ricasoli Brolio Chianti Classico 2022 from Tuscany; Two Paddocks Picnic Riesling 2022 from the Central Otago valley in New Zealand;  Samuel’s Collection Eden Valley Viognier 2022, from the Eden Valley, South East Australia; Miguel Torres Chile Andica Organic Rosé from the Curicó Valley, Chile; Yalumba Steeple Vineyard Shiraz 2019, from the Barossa Valey, South East Australia and Nautilus Estate Chardonnay 2022 from Marlborough, New Zealand.

The Wine Merchant Top 100 judging is a blind tasting, conducted over two rounds, which involves around 40 independent wine merchants, including a senior panel to ensure consistency. These senior judges are often called upon for guidance or a second opinion by our teams of judges.
